Some wedding venues still don’t quite ‘get’ celebrants, but they really do at Upwaltham Barns. After all, if you’re going to tailor-make your day, then surely you’re going to want to do the same with your ceremony?
I first met some of the Upwaltham team at the South East region TWIA awards in 2016 (they won!) We got on really well and I appreciated their integrity in only recommending suppliers they’ve seen in action and that they really liked (even though I was impatient to come and do my thing there!) It took me a couple of years to get a booking but I was so happy when I did and they have kindly recommended me to their couples since then and I love it when I get to go back.
As a celebrant, I love how streamlined everything is at Upwaltham. There’s always someone ‘on it’, but not in your face! They’re brilliant at anticipating my needs as well as the couple’s and their guests, and it all feels as though the day is run on wheels. And the little onsite cottage where people can get ready, the ‘I Do Crew’ can assemble and I can go and say hi and get all excited with them just before we start, is just exquisite.
I know that, by the time I’m conducting their super-personalised, fun and love-filled ceremony, they’ll be in the most relaxed state possible, as they’ve been so well looked after to that point. And I know that, after I leave, that level of care continues until the very last guest has gone home.
